Quality management
1. Continual improvement as a corporate objective
Quality management at Lekkerland
It is only through high-quality processes and by supplying products of the highest quality that we can ensure the success of our clients. For this reason, quality management plays a central role at Lekkerland. Our integrated management system, IMS, goes beyond the requirements of EU regulations and brings together guidelines for the areas of quality management, health and safety at work, occupational safety, food and product safety and environmental protection. The quality management system is regularly inspected by independent certifying bodies with regard to functionality and fulfilment of international requirements.
The integrated management system applies in all Lekkerland countries and is supplemented by country-specific certifications such as ISO 9001, ISO 22000 IFS Logistic, BRC or HACCP.

2. Guiding principles for Lekkerland’s quality policy
- The basis for action at Lekkerland is adherence to statutory regulations. The company is also committed to continual improvement. In view of this, the principles of strategic management are constituent parts of the corporate philosophy and are supplemented by the establishment and evaluation of quality objectives.
- All employees acknowledge and treat customers as the central focus of the company’s endeavours. The quality policy of the company is familiar to all employees and has been discussed with them.
- Lekkerland seeks to optimise internal organisational structures and processes as well as those of external interfaces. The aim of the quality policy is to avoid faults and to carry out work in accordance with the respective state of the art. This is supported by the information system and the continual and systematic further training of staff.
- Quality is a corporate objective that ranks alongside sustaining the enterprise through economic behaviour in the market.
- With our integrated management system, we ensure that important organisational potentials for improvement are identified in all areas and fed into the continual improvement process.
- We stimulate our employees’ motivation through regular educational and training events in all areas and through internal and external exchanges on important matters.
- Our employees are the cornerstones of our performance capability and their health and safety are of utmost priority.
- We want to behave fairly and openly in relation to our customers, partners and competitors.
- With our customers, suppliers and partners, we maintain an exchange of specialist information on all current matters of relevance to quality.
- Saving energy and the careful use of resources are, for us, important parts of our daily activity.
- As a company that deals with foodstuffs, we are conscious of bearing a particular responsibility. The priority of food safety is therefore our maxim.
