Lekkerland strengthens partnership with Valora

Convenience specialist focuses on core business

Lekkerland Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG and Valora Holding AG are continuing to strengthen their strategic partnership. The objective here is for Lekkerland to supply all the locations belonging to the Valora Group. Valora will also take over the Lekkerland subsidiary company Convenience Concept in which the wholesale company has previously bundled its German retail activities. This includes more than 1,300 locations where shop concepts like CIGO and U-Store have been implemented.

“In future, Lekkerland will continue to focus its competences in the areas of wholesale and category management, logistics and services. The aim will be to continue expanding these areas. We have identified a strong partner in Valora who will support us in pursuing these strategic goals over the long term,” explained Michael Hoffmann, Chief Executive Officer of the Lekkerland Group.

The aim of the companies is for Lekkerland to continue to supply Valora locations alongside the existing sites incorporated in the Convenience Concept. Lekkerland will continue to input its know-how in Category Management and advise Valora on planning the product range. The framework contract with Valora was concluded for a term of five years. “We have already enjoyed an extremely good working relationship with Lekkerland in Germany where Lekkerland has been supplying our shops for a number of years and we are looking forward to intensifying and expanding this partnership. Convenience Concept is a successful and professional company which is an ideal fit with the associated concepts and the franchise shops in our business,” commented Thomas Vollmoeller, Chief Executive Officer of Valora Holding AG.
The contract for the takeover of Convenience Concept GmbH by Valora is subject to approval by the responsible antitrust authorities.
