New Managing Director at Lekkerland Austria
On 1 January 2008 Ralf Teschmit (42) will assume sole responsibility for managing Lekkerland Austria. In the past business year the convenience wholesaler with its 245 employees posted a turnover of EUR 112.4 million. Albin Lintner will remain as the Director responsible for the Sales and Marketing Division and will also work on international sales projects. Gisbert Bresser, formerly Managing Director for Operations, will in future be focusing upon his duties as Managing Director of Lekkerland Czech Republic and Lekkerland Slovakia. He will also have responsibility for the Mergers & Acquisitions Division of the Lekkerland Group.
Ralf Teschmit has been the manager of Nordsee Austria since 2002. “The topic of freshness is becoming increasingly important for the Lekkerland Group as a whole. I also see further potential for Lekkerland Austria here,” said the new Managing Director. Before joining Nordsee, Teschmit (who hails from Stuttgart) worked for the Tengelmann Group for eleven years, initially as Head of Advertising and Marketing in Germany, then as Head of Sales for Austria and finally as a member of the management of Tengelmann International.
